Porter School of the Environment and Earth Sciences (Sackler Faculty of Exact Sciences) at Tel Aviv University

The Department of Environmental Studies at the Porter School of the Environment and Earth Sciences at Tel Aviv University invites applicants for a faculty position at the level of Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. Positions are available from the beginning of January 1^st, 2024. 

We are looking for excellent faculty members in all areas of Environmental Studies, who are interested and willing to engage in interdisciplinary environmental research. Our search is open to all fields in environmental studies, including, but not limited to the following specific subjects: environmental economy, urban planning, environmental education, environmental law, sustainable development, environmental public policy and decision making, natural resource management, environmental geopolitics.

Candidates are expected to have a clear vision to create novel and influential solutions to issues critical to the planet and to societal issues of the environment. Preference will be given to researchers who combine quantitative aspects in their research, and opportunities for joint appointments with other university faculties will be favorably considered.

Individuals possessing a Ph.D., with two or more years of postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record, are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in research and a strong potential for developing an independent, interdisciplinary research program, and for securing and sustaining independent and collaborative external funding. A successful applicant will be expected to share our commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.
