The School of Social Sciences at Tel Aviv University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position. Applications are open in all fields of Labor Studies. Particular priorities will be given to candidates in the following disciplines: (a) social history whose research looks at organized and non-organized labor, history of business and workplaces, or social history of Israel with respect to class and work (b) human research management and organizational behavior. Candidates with work in other disciplines will be considered as well.
The School of Social and Policy Studies is composed of four departments: Communication, Labor Studies, Public Policy, and Sociology and is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. It combines research and teaching in a wide range of fields concerned with social sciences. It has a strong commitment to multidisciplinary research and teaching, and provides opportunities for interactions with many departments and research units on and off campus. It has a rich tradition of high-level, internationally recognized research and teaching.
The candidate must have a PhD degree or expect to be awarded a doctoral degree by October 2022, in a discipline related to Labor Studies, with excellent proven research and publication record. Post-doctoral experience is desirable.
The position includes full-time teaching, at introductory level courses (classes at Tel Aviv University are taught in Hebrew), supervision of MA and PhD students, and pursuing high- quality research based on grants received from competitive local and international foundations.
