פרופסור פיטר במברגר, חוקר בהתנהגות ארגונית וניהול משאבי אנוש, סיים את לימודיו לתואר השלישי באוניברסיטת קורנל (Cornell) בשנת 1990 והצטרף לפקולטה לניהול ב-2009. הוא חוקר בכיר בבית הספר ליחסי עבודה תעשייתיים באוניברסיטת קורנל ומכהן שם כמנהל המחקר של המכון ע"ש Smithers. תחומי המחקר שלו כוללים בריאות עובדים (שימוש של עובדים באלכוהול וסמים, טראומה, מצבים רגשיים שליליים), אסטרטגיית תגמול ושקיפות תגמולים; קוגניציה ומטא-קוגניציה בהקשרים צוותים; הסתגלות עובדים בתקופות מעבר; עזרה וחיפוש עזרה במקום העבודה. שירת כעורך משנה של כתב העת Academy of Management Journal וכעורך ראשי של Academy of Management Discoveries. במברגר הוא חבר ב Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology ובנוסף Society for Organizational Behavior.
