​עירן דורפמן הוא פרופסור לתיאוריה וספרות צרפתית. הוא בעל דוקטורט בפילוסופיה מאוניברסיטת פריז 12 (2005) וראש תכנית לשעבר ב- Collège International de Philosophie בפאריז. מחקריו העכשוויים נעים בקו התפר בין פילוסופיה, ספרות ופסיכואנליזה.
