Ruben Seroussi, born in Uruguay in 1959, settled in Israel in 1974. Finished "cum laude" his composition studies at TAU's Rubin Academy of Music under the guidance of Prof. Leon Schidlowsky. His music is widely performed in Israel and abroad and has earned him several prizes and distinctions, most notably the Prime Minister Prize in 1994. Seroussi's music has been performed and commissioned by the most prestigious ensembles and orchestras in Israel (Musica Nova, The Israel Contemporary Players, The Israel Philharmonic, Jerusalem Symphony a.o.), and by ensembles such as Modern (Frankfurt), Oriol (Berlin), New Juilliard and Continuum (New York), Cuarteto Latinoamericano (Mexico)a.o., abroad. A leading classical guitarist of international reputation, Seroussi has recorded for the Italian label Nuova Era a Cd devoted to XXth century music. His music is published mainly by MI.
