Course of studies

The Unit is in charge of Master of Arts studies in Culture Research. Culture Research studies the options available to human beings, both as groups and individuals, for managing their lives, such as: what to eat, where to live, with whom to mate, how to raise their offspring, what to believe in, and where to invest endeavors. The variety created in culture, culture diffusion and change, the transmission of options between different groups of human beings, and the struggles between groups over the creation of different or new options are all few of the basic questions in culture research.

Aspects of culture research developed in a large range of different disciplines: from biology to anthropology, from history to economics and psychology, from sociology to linguistics and textural analysis. Culture research within the Unit of Culture Research aspires to learn from them all and to integrate this tremendous knowledge into one multifaceted discipline.
