Experimental Setup

Experimental setup for measurement of the contact angle of a liquid on a surface.

Components

A photograph and a schematic of the experimental setup for this experiment are shown in Figure 1.

  1. Sample and stage
  2. Pipette
  3. Camera
  4. Measurement software

Working Procedure

  1. Place the disk on the sample stage.
  2. Gently and slowly lower the drop until it touches the disc.
  3. Measure the contact angle using the software (Figure 2).
