Haifa - Rambam & Bnei Zion Hospitals


Dear student !

1. When you arrive to Haifa, please go first to the  student dorms at,  85 Alenby Street, Haifa. To the dorms in Haifa you can arrive at any time of the day, on the dates of your exchange period only. if you don't arrive between official check-in time - the keys will be with the security guard at the entrance.

Please, first check-in to the dormitory, then to the department. For IFMSA students The lodging is free of course.  It is impossible to check-in/out before/after your confirmed exchange period, and only during the check-in days & hours – no exceptions!!!

  1. Take the train from the Ben-Gurion Airport to Haifa Bat-Galim station (hours of Operation: 03:00 to Midnight).

  2. From the Haifa Bat Galim station it is a 20 minute walk to the dorms or you can take a taxi (press this link for a map on how to arrive at the dorms)

Keep in mind - Public transportation stops at ~ 16:00 on Friday and resumes at ~ 19:00 on Saturday. Taxis are available at all times. For train times & other information please see the Israel Railways Website or call: (03) 577-4000. The train station is located on Level S (lowest level) of the Landside Building, adjacent to the Greeters' Hall of Ben-Gurion Airport.

2. After you have settled in the dorms,  it's time to check in with our office for department placing:

To reach the hospital from the dorms you can take either bus 19, 17, 108.  Or its about 20-25 min walk to the hospital. (the hospital is close to Bat Galim train station where you arrived). To see it on the map press here.

Everyone in all hospitals - Please go first to the Medical Students Organization Office at Rambam Medical Center , Haifa  to be placed in your department. It''s located at the big tall white building in Rambam.  It is best to arrive around 10-10:30 AM. If you arrive later it is better to come the next day.

For students in Bney-Zion Hospital please check in first in the Medical Students Office at Rambam. The next days you can reach the hospital via Bus routes 28 or 37 which you can take from Sderot HaMeginim street near the dorms.

As soon as you have completed the formalities of registration, please call our office in Tel Aviv, telephone 03-6423428, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 to 14:00 to tell us that you've settled in.

That's it. You're in!

Take the time to settle down. At July & August You'll meet our exchange officers at the WELCOMING EVENT held few days later.
