This magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of the pelvis in axial view demonstrates a large left adnexal mass with a fluid-fluid level. The mass displaces the uterus. This proved to be an endometrioma, or a cyst derived from a focus of endometriosis that continued to hemorrhage into the cyst.
