| These CT scan views demonstrate extensive recent infarction of the right cerebral hemisphere in the right middle cerebral distribution. This patient had non-bacterial thrombotic endocarditis involving the mitral valve. Note the lack of attenuation and the effacement of ventricles and grey-white distinction in the infarcted hemisphere. There is a midline shift to the left. |
