Laboratory Findings (Robert):

Serum chemistries: sodium 144 mmol/L, potassium 4.3 mmol/L, chloride 106 mmol/L, CO2 26 mmol/L, creatinine 1.3 mg/dL, glucose 138 mg/dL.

Urinalysis: sp gr 1.012, pH 6.5, no blood, ketones, 1+ glucose, microalbuminuria, nitrite positive, leukocyte esterase positive. Urine microscopic: over 50 WBCs/high power field.

CBC: Hgb 14.0 g/dL, Hct 43%, MCV 85 fL, platelet count 239,000/microliter, WBC count 10,100/microliter.



Laboratory Findings (Valerie):

Serum chemistries: sodium 142 mmol/L, potassium 4.1 mmol/L, chloride 104 mmol/L, CO2 25 mmol/L, creatinine 1.1 mg/dL, glucose 125 mg/dL.

Urinalysis: sp gr 1.017, pH 7, no blood, ketones, protein, or glucose, nitrite negative, leukocyte esterase negative.

CBC: Hgb 13.4 g/dL, Hct 40.4%, MCV 88 fL, platelet count 217,000/microliter, WBC count 7240/microliter.
