An update even before posting?

This column was finished, ready and waiting for uploading, when one of the e-mail newsletters to which I subscribe arrived with a report that just the sort of tool I've been looking for is available - and for free. So after downloading and installing (and, with a vast number of files on my hard drives, leaving the computer alone for quite a while so that it can index everything) Copernic Desktop Search I've had the opportunity to see if it works. And it does. There's something wonderfully satisfying in remembering a word or two in a document from a few years ago, running a search on those words and almost instantly finding the document I wanted. This is going to be fun.
