Somebody else's reminder.
While working on this column I visit a friend at his place of work and glanced
over his shoulder onto his computer screen. Internet Explorer was open, and there,
among other buttons which I readily identified was another which I didn't recognize.
I asked him what it was, and he didn't know. We investigated and found that it
was a button for Blink, an online bookmarking tool that has been defunct
for about two years. So it's not only me. This friend had also left a reminder
of previous tools on his computer, though I didn't ask whether he had done this
intentionally or simply because he'd moved on and forgotten to remove the button.
Go to: So why is the button still there?,
or
Go to: Some of my favorites, or
Go to: Putting the web to work, or
Go to: Saving a digital copy, or
Go to: Designing a work-oriented environment, or
Go to: Tools I've known and loved ... and often abandoned.
