Working from experience.

I started giving presentations about various aspects of the internet and online life at a time when dial-up modems were still standard ... as were also frequent communications outages. I learned back then not to put my trust in communications and on the expectation that I was only a click away from what I wanted to show. It wasn't called the World Wide Wait back then for nothing. Paraphrasing a lesson I learned from my father, until now I've only very rarely strayed from the sound advice that if you want to show a page, make sure you have it saved locally.
