My general interests are in the areas of cognitive development and education. The work I have been doing over the past decade and a half has been in two areas concerning teaching:

• The nature of children's developing teaching and their understanding of teaching

• Adult's mental models of children's minds and learning as they are expressed in the ways they teach and speak about their teaching

As consequence of my work in children's developing teaching, my work has expanded to include diverse areas such as primatology, cultural evolution, biological evolution (phylogenesis), normal and abnormal human development (ontogenesis), artificial-life, and more
