The Third Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified in 1791, along with the rest of the United States Bill of Rights. It describes that citizens will not be forced to house soldiers. While it is irrelevant in the modern United States, it was an important amendment at ratification, as Great Britain forced American citizens to house soldiers.
