Elvis Aaron (sometimes spelled Aron) Presley (January 8, 1935-August 16, 1977) was one of the most popular American musical artists of the twentieth century. He is a cultural icon and is also widely known by the name Elvis.
Presley was born on the date of January 8, 1935 to Gladys and Vernon Presley in a poor neighborhood in Tupelo, Mississippi.
