Hello dear students arriving at Tel-Aviv!

Welcome!

After you've finished your business at the airport, take a bus\train\taxi to the hospital (all dorms are situated inside or near the hospital). On this place you will find your contact person which will check you in to the dorms and departments. Some students have accommodation in different hospitals then their department. PLEASE GO FIRST TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE YOUR DORMS ARE LOCATED, and only later go to the hospital where your department is located.

In Tel Aviv - Check In & Out Dorms is Sun-Thu 9AM-12 PM (noon) and only during Exchange Period. No exceptions! If you do not arrive or leave within the check-in/out hours/dates, please be advised that there are Youth Hostels all over the country, for more information and a special Medical Students' discount press here

1. Reaching the hospital/ Dorms from the airport:

Tel-Hashomer-Sheba

Take the train from the Ben-Gurion Airport to "Tel Aviv Center - Savidor" train station (also called "Rakevet Merkaz/Arlozerov").
From Arlozorov train station take bus line number 55 that gets you straight to the hospital. Bus operates from 6:00 (6am) - Midnight.

Ichilov

Take the train from the Ben-Gurion Airport to "Tel Aviv Center - Savidor" train station (also called "Rakevet Merkaz/Arlozerov").
From Arlozorov train station take bus line number 7 that gets you straight to the hospital. Bus operates from 5:15(am). It's also a 10-15 minute walk by foot or 5 minutes by taxi.
Please check on your Card of Acceptance if your accomodation is at Ichilov - Some students who's department is at Ichilov are accommodated in the Dina Nursing School dorms in Belienson Hospital - if this is the case with you - first go to Beilenson when you arrive to receive your dorm room.

Beilinson/Schneider /Geha / Dina School of Nursing

Take the train from the Ben-Gurion Airport to "Tel Aviv Center - Savidor" train station (also called "Rakevet Merkaz/Arlozerov").
From Arlozorov train station take bus line number 82 or 51 that gets you straight to the hospital. Bus operates from 5:50(am), bus 82 until 22pm bus 51 until midnight, there is also a late night bus 566 at 1:40am, 2:40, 3:40.

Wolfson hospital

Take the train from the Ben-Gurion Airport to "Tel Aviv Hagana " train station.
From Hagana train station walk to the Tel-Aviv Central Bus station (5 minute walk) and take 41 or 17 bus line - that will get you straight to the hospital.

Meir Medical Center

Take the train from the Ben-Gurion Airport to "Tel Aviv Center - Savidor" train station (also called "Rakevet Merkaz/Arlozerov").
From Arlozorov train station take bus line number 149 that gets you straight to the hospital (get off on Tchernichovsky St) . Bus operates from 6:00 (6am).

Assaf Harofe

Take the train from the Ben-Gurion Airport to "Tel Aviv Hagana " train station.

From Hagana train station walk to the Tel-Aviv Central Bus station (5 minute walk) and take 461 or 451 bus line of Superbus bus company - that will get you straight to the hospital. Bus operates from 5:30 (am).

Anywhere by TAXI

Another option is to take a taxi straight to the hospital, it should cost around 100-150 shekels during day tariff (for Tel-Aviv area only). The taxi rank and the dispatcher's station at Terminal 3 are on Level G of the Multi Level Road, close to exit gate no. 03 of the Greeters Hall. In order to be referred to a Taxi, you must go through the dispatcher’s station

2. Contact person for Dorms

The contact persons will refer you to your dorms. Again - your department might be in a different hospital than your dorms - please check your card of acceptance so you will arrive at the correct place!

The contact persons will refer you to your department. please understand that due to hospital's last-minute limitations, on some occasion you will be placed in different department that was sent to you in the Card of Acceptance.

Please, first check-in to the dormitory, then to the department. For IFMSA students The lodging is free of course. It is impossible to check-in/out before/after your confirmed exchange period, and only during the check-in days & hours – no exceptions!!!

As soon as you have completed the formalities of registration, please call our office in Tel Aviv, telephone 03-6423428, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 to 14:00 to tell us that you've settled in.

That's it. You're in!

Take the time to settle down. At July & August You'll meet our exchange officers at the WELCOMING EVENT held few days later.
