| Male breast cancers are much less common than female breast cancers, perhaps by a ratio of 1000 to 1. Most occur in elderly males and have spread to contiguous structures, giving them a high stage at diagnosis. The same diagnostic techniques, such as mammography as seen here, can be utilized for screening and diagnosis. Most male breast cancers are of the infiltrating ductal carcinoma variety. |
