With injection of contrast material via endoscopic retrograde pancreatography (ERCP), contrast can be seen filling a pancreatic pseudocyst in the region of the pancreatic head. Note also that the pancreatic duct is slightly dilated and tortuous, typical of changes from inspissated ductal secretions with chronic alcoholism that predisposes to pancreatitis and pseudocyst formation.
