| In the upper GI radiograph shown above there is a star-shaped appearance of highlighted mucosal folds radiating from a benign duodenal ulcer. Virtually all duodenal ulcers are peptic ulcers and are benign. There is a high correlation with the appearance of duodenal ulcers and Helicobacter pylori infection of the stomach. |
