These CT scan views at different levels of the femur demonstrate osteochondromas that appear as a lateral projection on the left and a similar projection on the right in a patient with osteochondromatosis, a rare hereditary condition in which multiple osteochondromas form. The most serious problem with this condition is the tendency for development of bone sarcoma.
