Sorry, it happens.

It certainly doesn't have much cosmic significance, and chances are good that nobody even noticed (and even better that nobody checked) but after half a year of meeting my privately set deadline, I missed it this month. Until now these columns have been ready for uploading on the 22nd of each month, though occasional technical difficulties (passwords, down servers) have kept them from actually being posted on that date. This time it was me.

Since it probably went unnoticed, there's no real reason to apologize (nor to whom to do so) but at least a couple of excuses might be called for. It's been a hectic month. The major excuse relates to the something much alluded to on a different page, and especially to the ongoing, and all too often unsuccessful, attempt to make web pages do what they're supposed to do in Hebrew. The second excuse relates to a project hopefully approaching its conclusion which for the time being will remain undisclosed. The end of the semester would have been a wonderful excuse, except that I didn't have any courses this semester. Shudder to think what the situation will be next semester when I'll have one. And the third excuse relates to Eitan's birthday and the preparing and baking that was called for in order to celebrate in style.

Any additional excuses that anyone wishes to offer will be gratefully accepted and put to use when called for.
