Already full.
A couple of months ago I received a 128MB flash memory "disc-on-key"
style stick. I thought that I only needed about 64MB, but didn't object when offered
the larger model as a gift. I figured I'd have more than enough space for moving
files back and forth from home to work, which was basically why I wanted the device
in the first place. It immediately proved itself much more useful than copying
files to floppy drives, and much easier and faster than sending materials to myself
via e-mail which is what I'd become accustomed to doing.
The space on this device is about 100 times larger than what I had available on
a floppy. Yet still, I've found that just as I used to copy files from the floppies
in my pocket to my hard drive to make room for something new that I had to save,
I now still have to do the same with this "drive". It filled up incredibly
quickly, though of course it did so because when I had the available space I wanted
to save items in my pocket that I wouldn't have previously
thought I might have available.
