The markings of a classic.


I first found a link to this article on a newsletter to which I subscribe. Serendipitously, I was working on this particular column at the time. Had I not been, I would have found some way to link to it - the updates page, perhaps. It was clear that here was a future classic which didn't need me to get distributed, but still deserved all the help it could get. A few days later it was already (if not before then) linked from the main page of Blogger.com. A link: search on Google brought up only 44 web pages that (so far) linked to the article, but one of those seemed to put things in their proper perspective:
Hmmm. Just about every other blogger on the face of the planet has linked, or will link, to this
That page carries a few comments, one of them apparently by the blogger's mother herself, that are also worth a click.
