They must have been learning something.

Though I often returned home from my course sessions disappointed that my students hadn't learned as much as I'd hoped, they thought they were learning. I consistently received very high student satisfaction ratings on the evaluation forms distributed to them at the end of these courses, as well as personal e-mails thanking me for introducing them to these tools. I bump into some of my students every so often, and they tell me again how much they learned (and continue to learn on their own). Some are still in e-mail contact with me. A few even read the Boidem.

I can't complain. I loved teaching these courses and vicariously enjoyed the feeling of empowerment that my students received as they discovered how the tools to which I was introducing them could have a positive affect on their lives.
