Just remember to scroll up.

I suppose that ultimately it was the correct decision: People who view a web page expect the latest news to be up-front and center stage. Thus, the most recent entry to a blog is what you meet when you open the page, and if you scroll down you go back in time. But that also means that if you're not a regular reader, you find yourself reading something along the lines of:
today I leave home for school
tomorrow is the big day when I finally leave home for school
I can hardly wait until the day after tomorrow when I leave home for school
It can become a bit disorienting. In movies we're used to flashbacks, but they haven't yet become standard on web sites. Occasionally a blogger lets us know that s/he's aware of the problem, and reminds us "remember to scroll up". Perhaps we'll soon discover that we have to categorize William James: up-stream or down-stream of consciousness.
