Keeping up to date is hard to do.

I guess I can't complain. Keeping up a web site for four and a half years, and almost always meeting my self-set goal of uploading a new column each month isn't something to be sneezed at. On the other hand, I've had my hand in more than a few sites which promise to be continually updated, but find it much harder to reach that goal than to set it. For the web-surfer it's always distressing to find an interesting site and visit it often, only to discover after a number of visits that the date listed next to the words "last updated" toward the bottom of the page have been the same for months.

Sometimes, however, it's not such a bad thing. At the boys' soccer school Eitan was the outstanding player of his age group for October, 2000, and a photograph of the outstanding players of that month was posted on the site. Undoubtedly there were outstanding players for November and December as well, but their photographs have yet to be posted. Someone on the production side of the site has been a bit lax of late. But that means that even at the end of January, 2001, we can still click over to the site and see that photograph.
