Practicing what I preach.
What most interested me around this particular topic was the concept of distributed cognition, which in a classroom setting may actually mean no more than if one pupil in the class knows the answer to the teacher's question, and the others know how to get that answer from that pupil, then perhaps we can say that the whole class knows the answer.

My objective was to examine whether (and if so, how) pupils would use online discussion forums as a repository for their thoughts, or as a stage on which they could develop those thoughts. And I figured that if I thought that this was such a good thing, it would make sense for me to do the same sort of thing myself. So I created a sub-section to the Boidem (I had, after all, FTP access to the server) which I called Thinkspace which I envisioned as a framework for me to sound my thoughts on my thesis, and for other students to do the same on theirs. I even uploaded my first notes on this topic. I liked the idea, and still don't understand why the university doesn't adopt something along these lines as a sort of online coffee shop for master's students, but that's not my problem. I'm lucky enough to be getting a degree.
