Thinking Space:

an online area for the examination and development of a few ideas

The web pages linked to this introductory page are an experimental attempt to "think out loud" via a web site. They represent a private thought process, but through being posted publicly they are also an invitation to others to join in that process.

Thoughts don't convert themselves into finished products by some automatic or magical process. Fruit ripens on the tree through exposure to the sun, through being watered, through having the tree pruned and more. In the same manner, thoughts can and should be exhibited "on the tree" where they can receive the sunlight of professional criticism, the water of peer review, the pruning of critical self reflection. It's my hope that this particular space will flower and bear fruit as a result of all of these.

At present, only one project is discussed here: my own. Anyone interested in using this space to present his or her project is welcome to contact me for uploading.

This is not an "interactive" web site. It might be logical to attach a discussion forum to these pages, and perhaps in the future that will take place. But for the present, basic technologies will suffice. Comments can be sent via e-mail to: Jay Hurvitz. They will be incorporated and/or responded to in the continually changing body of the text.
