Round the clock access proves its usefulness.

A few days before Avigail's visit I prepared  a list of the buses from Jerusalem to our closest bus stop. I did this both via the phone and from the information available on the Egged internet site. Expecting her, however, between certain hours, I didn't list all of the times, just the more probable ones. But the times on my list had passed, and she still hadn't arrived. And a phone call to Egged information told me that it was already closed for Shabbat. That left the web site as the only way to get the necessary information. It certainly would have been easier over the phone, but getting the times for the last two buses that I hadn't listed wasn't difficult. All's well that ends well, and this particular episode ended well, though it would be much more impressive were I able to truthfully write that she was on one of the buses whose schedule I checked via the web.
