If only it were reciprocal.
Sadly, not every book being read is, or is on the way toward becoming, a classic.
After all, with my (admittedly rather apocryphal) eight readers, if that were
the case, I might be able to take pride in being considered a "future classic".
Alas, the reality is considerably more banal. There are books and sites that both
don't get read, and that don't become the subject of a doctoral dissertation a
couple of generations down the road.
