So what if I think that Kathy Sierra has said it all (or at least enough) about
Twitter. Quite a number of bloggers still want to add their take, and why shouldn't
they. Quite a number of people seem to like the tool, though they're not exactly
eloquent on just why that might be. One
rather basic comment reads simply:
It's really quite a bit of fun.
Another blogger, going into
slightly more detail, tells us:
It sounds stupid, but it's actually kind of cool
Yet another
draws up a list of reasons for liking the tool. Among these we read not only that:
It's simple, focused and immediate.
but also, in perhaps an admission of powerlessness in the face of the deluge of
information:
Because blogging requires too much time
and thought.
Not everybody is enamored of the tool. One
observer wonders whether we're really all that interested in reporting what
we're doing:
Seriously, we need this?? I mean, people don't even bother answering
that question on the phone...
Which, we have to admit, is on the whole quite true.
