Kitchen appliances as found objects?

I'm not sure that it would be accurate to describe kitchen appliances as found objects, but since they're not ordinarily defined as musical instruments, using them as such is perhaps similar to using spam as a basis for poetry. Hurra Torpedo is apparently Norway's (and perhaps the world's) premiere kitchen appliance rock band (I have no idea if there are others). More information about them can be found on an additional site, and the blog of their rockumentry United States tour is ... well, it's fun.
