At least one doctor wanted them.

In Mark's report from Mom's fourth day since the stroke he noted that one of Mom's doctors was interested in receiving these updates as well:
Before she left, Dr. Fitts indicated that she’d appreciate these detailed reports of Mom’s experience to help her evaluate what’s up. (I’ll email them to her tonight when I get home).
And the mailing list of these reports weren't limited only to family and to the doctor. In that same letter Mark reported that the administrator of the home where Mom had lived had also called:
12:20 Phyllis Levin called. I’ve been sending her these reports. She remarked that she expected that I’d be writing, but not “a book”!
Actually, she should have known.
