Why a month?
A month is a rather short period of time to maintain an interest in a subject.
I can often remain interested, even fascinated, by a topic for years. Why then
do I choose one month as a measure for "a regular basis"? For that,
I can give credit to the Boidem. The decision to post a new column once a month
allows me to casually collect material over a number of months, and then, for
a shorter but more concentrated period of time, become more intensely involved
in that topic. It may simply be that my thinking processes are slower than those
of most bloggers, but quite frankly, I can't understand how bloggers can post
their thoughts on a subject every day, or every couple of days, and still think
things through enough to make their thoughts worth my, or anybody else's, reading.
Sometimes it's a relief to discover that others have
also faced this sort of problem.
