It's a wonder we find time to write at all!
Some nights I can sit myself down in front of the keyboard and the writing almost
flows. On others, I find my fingers hovering over the keys until they seem to
drop on them out of fatigue, with no words getting typed at all. But in both of
these scenarios, my greatest enemy seems to be the lure of an interesting page
- an article to read, a personal story to become captivated by, a search that
branches farther and farther off topic but continually finds something to keep
me from writing.
Over six years ago I mentioned the (perhaps apocryphal)
story of Engels urging Marx to finish his research already because the working
class was waiting for his conclusions (so that they could arise and throw off
their chains!). How many other would-be leaders of revolutions ultimately don't
reach the masses because they're still clicking on one additional link before
they'll have all the information needed to make their statement to the world?
And how do they decide on what to click?

Go to: Who's going to watch?, or
Go to: How many prosumers can fit on the head of cyberspace?
