About the Institute

About the Institute The Chaim Herzog Institute for Media Politics & Society was established in October 2002, at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Tel-Aviv University. The Institute is named after Chaim Herzog, the sixth president of the State of Israel. The Institute’s goals are to conduct academic research and to create a cross-disciplinary platform for conferences, seminars, meetings and discussions and critical appraisals as they relate to the reciprocal links, connections and influences between media, society, social issues and politics.

The Institute was established by Professor Yoram Peri, who Headed the institute until 2008.
