"Dynamics and Self-organization in the Protein Network Evolution"

Dr. Eli Eisenberg
Compugen, Tel Aviv

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae protein-protein interaction map, as well as many natural and man-made networks, shares the scale-free topology. Using a cross-genome comparison, we show that the preferential attachment principle governs the protein network evolution. This dynamical principle leads to the universal scale-free topology.
