The question was:
At what speed will a tennis ball be able to break a glass window?




(3/2001) Finally, after more than 3 years we have a solution of the problem. Larry Weinstein from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, USA (e-mail weinstei@physics.odu.edu) suggested a solution presented below. The solution includes a number of assumptions and approximations. We will appreciate comments on the solution.

The answer: the speed is between 20 and 30 m/s.
