A Short Story

One can understand the main points of this story even if he (or she) does not understand the meaning of the physical quantities that are mentioned herein.

Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) is regarded as "the jewel of physics" of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics (see here.) (Called below link A). A quantity called the electromagnetic 4-potential (denoted by Aμ) is a crucial element of QED (see below the title "Mathematical formulation" in link A).

In a paper published about two years ago I prove that Aμ is mathematically wrong (see here.) (called below link B). These items describe the present situation:
  1. A process called renormalization is an indispensable element of QED (see link A).
  2. R. P. Feynman, who was a key person in the development of QED, has called renormalization "a dippy process" (see here).
  3. As stated above, the 4-potential Aμ is a crucial element of QED.
  4. Important textbooks make contradictory descriptions of Aμ (see the Abstract of link B and the explicit quotations on pp. 4,5 therein).
  5. My paper of link B proves that Aμ contains inherent contradictions. Points 2,4 indicate that this outcome is not a surprise.
  6. Today I received a notice from ResearchGate that 300 persons have already read my paper (see here).
  7. In spite of these facts, as of today, I've received no mail that refers to my paper.
Conclusion: A very important physical theory, called "the jewel of physics", is inherently wrong, and one of its founders said that it is based on a dippy process. Furthermore, well-known textbooks make contradictory statements concerning an important QED element.

Remark: QED is an important SM sector. Unfortunately the physical establishment completely ignores the inherent contradictions of its theories. For example, Fermilab states: "The Standard Model: The most successful theory ever" (see here). Many other examples of groundless SM glorification can be found in the literature and on the web.

A personal remark: I'm still waiting for somebody who really cares?
