Cohn 25 Celebration

This year the Cohn Institute marks 25 years of intense academic activity. We shall celebrate this important milestone with a conference, as scholars do. It will be a special conference, in which all speakers will be Cohn Institute alumni who currently teach in institutions of higher learning in and outside Israel.

The impressive list of speakers and their remarkable spectrum of topics bears proud witness to the depth and scope of the Institute's academic mission and undertaking. It does not, however, fully convey the presence of the Institute's alumni in the academic world. Moreover, the Institute's mission and undertaking is by no means limited to the purely academics. The equally impressive and equally varied contribution of our many non-academic alumni to Israeli culture and public life bears equally proud testimony.

The Institute's website offers a detailed overview of our first quarter of a century, in anticipation of an even richer future.

מכון כהן מציין 25 שנים של פעילות אקדמית עניפה ומבורכת. אנו חוגגים אבן דרך חשובה זו, כדרכם של אנשי אקדמיה, בכנס מדעי. מדובר בכנס מיוחד, שבו כל הדוברים הם מבין בוגרי המכון המלמדים היום במוסדות אקדמיים בארץ או בחו"ל.

רשימה מרשימה זו, והמגוון הרחב והמפתיע של תחומי מחקר המייוצגים בה, הם עבורנו מקור לגאווה המעיד על העומק ועל רוחב היריעה של פעילותינו לאורך השנים. אולם, הרשימה אינה ממצה את ייצוג תלמידנו בעולם האקדמי. יתרה מזו, תפקידו של המכון אינו מוגבל למישור האקדמי בלבד, ותרומת בוגרינו לחיים הציבוריים ולחיי הרוח בארץ מתבטאת בדרכים רבות, לא פחות מרשימות ומגוונות.

אתר האינטרנט של המכון מאפשר מבט רחב ומפורט על פעילותנו לאורך רבע היובל הראשון, ואנו מצפים להמשך פעילות רבה ומתאגרת גם בעתיד לבוא.
