The series of views with this nuclear medicine scan reveal uniform, increased diffuse uptake into an enlarged thyroid gland in a case of Grave's disease with symptoms of hyperthryoidism. The patient's serum thyroxine was elevated at 21 ng/mL while the TSH was very low at 0.1 mU/mL. The patient had a 3 month history of nervousness, palpitations, and weight loss.
