In the region of the neck in this CT scan is a multinodular goiter anterior to the trachea. It is somewhat asymmetric, with the left lobe more enlarged than the right. There are cystic areas and small bright calcifications. Such goiters enlarge slowly over time and can produce discomfort. Most patients are euthyroid.
