| The abdominal CT scan views above and below reveal a large mass in the region of the left adrenal gland. This is an adrenal cortical carcinoma, which is larger than an adenoma and more variegated, typically with areas of hemorrhage and necrosis. After IV contrast in the view below, there is a focus of brighter contrast in the posterior aspect of the mass that corresponds to an area of hemorrhage. |
