Here is an unusual location with an unusual name, but it is part of the extra-adrenal paraganglion system and can be a site for the 10% of pheochromocytomas that are extra-adrenal. These MRI scans in coronal view above and axial view below demonstrate a pheochromocytoma of the organ of Zuckerkandl located just below and to the right of the aortic bifurcation.
