| This is a computed tomographic (CT) scan of a colloid cyst of the third ventricle. This is a bright small discrete mass that may slowly enlarge over the years. During this time, it is asymptomatic, but it may eventually block the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, leading to hydrocephalus, sometimes acutely. The colloid cyst can be removed at surgery. |
