Further History:

Celeste is placed on highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) with a protocol including zidovudine, lopinavir/ritonavir, and lamivudine (3TC). A month later her HIV1-RNA level is undetectable and her CD4 count is 441/microliter.

At 6 months of age, the baby's CD4 count is 1500/microliter, with HIV1-RNA copy number of 45,000/mL.
