Recurrent attacks of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) may lead to the development of nasal polyps which may be multiple and from a few millimeters to several centimeters in size. As seen here at low power, there is overlying respiratory mucosa at the left, with an edematous stroma. Such polyps are rare in the pediatric age group and are most often seen in persons over 30 years of age.
