Instructions

The multiple choice questions in the General Pathology, Organ System Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Extended Matching banks have three formats.

  • For single answer questions, click on the checkbox next to the letter for the answer. The first answer you click will be scored, and the response will appear in the lower frame. Additional clicked responses after the first will not affect the score.

  • For multiple choice questions, you will click on the checkbox next to the first question you want to answer, then click on the checkbox next to the lettered answer. Then click on the checkbox next to the second question and then on the checkbox next to the lettered answer. After clicking on the second answer, a score will be generated and the responses will appear in the lower frames. For matching questions, the lettered responses may be used once, more than once, or not at all.

  • For interactive and quiz questions with typed input, a text box will appear. You are to type in your answer; either upper or lower case is acceptable. Then click the "Check Answer" button and the answer will appear in the lower frame.

  • For extended matching questions with 12, 16, or 20 items, type in the letter of your response to each question, then click on the "Check Answers" button for the scoring. You may then click on the "Answer Key" button for an explanation of the responses.

  • Clicking on the "Laboratory Reference Values" button will pop up a new window over the top of the screen. You can scroll through the contents of this window to view normal reference ranges for common laboratory tests.

  • If you encounter error messages, try starting again from the Exam Main Menu, clear cookies and cache, or restart your Web Browser.
